Hi,
For health and other reasons, I am thinking about becoming a vegetarian or vegan. I have a few questions for those of you who are vegans or vetetarians.
1. Was it a gradual change?
2. how did your body react to the change/
3. how were you able to substitute the things that you liked to eat? Cheese, chocolate, etc.
4. what kind of advice can you give me in order to switch to this new lifestyle. Thanks,
Leslie

vegetarian and vegan are both different thing. if you are a vegetarian, you can eat dairy product such as milk, cheese, butter and eggs. but if you are a vegan, you are not suppose to eat dairy product according to some religion teaching.

some people can be a vegetarian or vegan in no time, some, can't. it pretty much depends on what your body use to. if you are a heavy meat eater, you might fine it hard to adupting to neither vegetarian or vegan. some people would have lots of health issues ones they become vegetarian or vegan, some as healthy if not healthier than before.

few things gotta to remember if you become either vegetarian or vegan, make sure you keep up with Protein and iron, as well as calcium.
if you are a vegetarian, it shouldn't have many issue on that. some vegetarian do eat fish for example, if not, you can have alot of milk, or soil milk might be a good option if you aint fancy milk.
as far as chocolate goes, there's no reason why you can eat chocolate just because you are vegetarian or vegan.

there's no rules for your diet since you have no religion attach, the good way to start perhaps is to slowly reduce the amoung of meat you consume, and increase your diet on frutes and vegetable. that would be the best way for your body to get use to it.

since you have no religion attach to this, and its purely health related issues, i'll recommend you to consult with your health professional regarding your diet
